About
This three-part podcast series delves into the profound yet challenging work of addressing race, bias, and inequity within the nursing profession. Designed specifically for nurses and healthcare practitioners, the series aims to equip listeners with tools for reflective practice, courageous conversations, and relational approaches to confronting racism and bias. Each episode builds upon the last, fostering self-awareness, empathy, and actionable insights for both personal and professional growth. We created this content specifically out of a desire to bring people together, in ways that could avoid pointing fingers, or exchanging of blame and shame. We seek to point a very clear spotlight on the history of our systems of healthcare, how they have created the legacy of disparate outcomes that we see today, and most importantly, offer actionable steps for what each of us can do to be part the system disruption needed to build new systems that reflect our values. This series challenges listeners to take courageous, compassionate steps toward equity and inclusion in their personal and professional lives.
